So...just to clarify..I'm going to dl the hybrid, extract, copy and paste into the java folder of the base os, shrink, install?
What about the .alx files? will that automatically get replaced?
I figured I would give it a try and then let you guys try out the new one and let me know if that's better
For the 9900 you can replace the java with the RC java as an option but it is shrinked as per Zocs choice hence copy and replace would be the way to go.
You can replace the sfi of the base OS (if not using .523base) with the .523sfi in the package
Likewise copy and replace alx files as well
Then shrink to your liking
festive week for OS! yesterday .714 (Leaked) and today .694 (official) released for 9860. I am already using .714 and wait for some more time for testing .694.

Thanks, Legal!
Being that .569 is giving me crappy signal (I mean it was SOS in the grocery store the other day)....Probably will have to be .523 then.
BUT - I can wait a few more days I guess....I've just heard great things about RC5B2 that I thought I should try it. But now with the official .658, I wonder if that would be any better? LOL. Just like a woman...can't decide what to do
EDIT - Oh if decide to load the RC5B2 - where do I get the alx files from?
Sorry Hamster, didn't mean to abandon you, got involved with Sultan regarding advance OS in another thread.
Glad to see that Maxx stepped in and helped you out.
That's the beauty of this community, there's always someone out there to step in and help out.
Hope the install went well, sure you will love the OS.
stumbled on to a problem. i just realised the .523 sfi file from a JAllLang os is larger than in a AllLang os, from 2 different carrier who do .523 for 9360
i just noticed that using maxis carrier.. can i know what sfi that you preferred?
thanks.
Been using .523 for quite long, and its all good. I tried .569 sfi with Raikko's build and the temperature and the signal strenght is good too. Not sure which one is better but, go for .523? as for now im using .658 straight and we will see how it goes
Been running .658 straight on my Bold, so far so good. The temperature exactly like .523 IMO. Not sure about the signal strenght tho, been using a new carrier so cant say mch about the signal But perhaps when the latest build of RC the signal strenght with the .658 sfi will be better? Who knows.. waiting for it as we speak

Thanks for your opinion. been using .523 for a while too.. just asking opinion .. seems other said .569 good too.. but im tired wiping and reinstalling.. im gonna stick with rc5 b2.. lets wait for rc6 beta.
If history is anything to go by with previous AT&T builds, you can guarantee that .694 will be new ONLY in number. I wouldn't touch any of their bastardised OS builds with a barge pole!
So many things to do here
I got the bold 9900
Am I supposed to install 7.1.0.569 for example and to put the RC4 for bold 9900 or there is something other I should do?
There is FULL OS for 9900?What is this?It is the RC5?

.658 sfi is a lil bit flactuates...it's very sensitive to signal changes...
The neew build is done and it's gonna be tested by our team. Let's see in a couple of days...
