is it possible to use the leaked .714 as base os for RC5B-2?
Im not sure, cause the RC5B-2 doesnt include the new .714 leak in it, am i right? So, just wait for another release from the BL folks plus, iFraser said they are 'working' with something now, pretty sure they include the new .714 cods
Last saturday I installed 569 base, 523 sfi and browser patch with RC5b. It's been great!
I did quite the lot of battery pulls and restarts from re-intalling apps on Saturday and then again on Sunday before swiping batteries. This Monday I could tell the battery life's improved. A fully charged battery was inserted on Sunday at 14:30 and now (Monday at 10:00am) shows 68%. Of course I don't really use much my 9790 on a Sunday afternoon but I'm confident it will be better than just 523 base.
I had this warming up with 523 and couldn't really pin it to any app or behavior. So far, I haven't had this. Hope it stays that way.
ill give it a go anyway with RC5B-2 java files with the .714 base.
Installed RC5B-2 with .714 base.... cant see any obvious changes. don't know if it was there before no not but for 9360 users you can change your convenience key.
Dm thinks your device is on 7.1 bundle 1909 even though .714 base is bundle is 2039. im guessing that due to the hybrid os.
So far no errors that i can see of. Installed apps and battery pulled.
about 48 hours on BL5B-2 - I experienced a rough start for the first 6 Hrs (in terms of ADR well over 10) - not lag but something unexplainable. Anyway, 48 Hrs in and including that rough start my ADR (device analyser) is 4.18. Running very smoothly, no lag whatsoever,
I hear that there's a new leak (7.1.0.714) - not for 9900 - but unlike 99% of past leaks, I really dont care if there's a 9900 leak or not.

Remember to do your battery pulls and it will just keep on getting better as it settles.
Will be just about perfect by the time that RC5B3 arrives !!!
Plus one on the leaks, can't ever see me installing a RIM produced OS again.
WHat?! did someone mention RC5B3?? hahahaha. Kool. I awaiteth for the pronouncement!
I have been getting quite good at installing all the preceeding release candidates and learned quite a bit doing so. Hope I did not jinx my self. hahaha
Hi, I'm currently using the RC5B2 on my 9900 with a .569 base.. Everything is working properly except when playing you tube videos from the browser.
Error message "An Error has occured attempting to play media"
The browser will then close the video and will reload again and again with the error message until you stop it by pressing the back button.
I have apn settings setup correctly, do you think this is an issue with my network provider or something is missing during the installation..
I am using the full 9900 build.
Thanks

This isn't a normal error, you could try taking out the apn settings. Sometimes you don't need them. Also a long battery pull may be enough to solve this issue.
Let us know how you get on.
