Just catching up on the thread, good news for all the OS6 users out there.

    Just a thought Zocs/Ian

Might it be a good idea to post the OS6 version as a new thread.

Given the size of this one i'd hate to see the new hybrid get overlooked by potential users because it's buried so deep in this thread.

Might also simplify queries that arise bearing in mind that we have already had the odd misunderstanding in this thread due to the multitude of devices it supports.

Thanks to both yours and Ian's reply.

Ian is saying that .649 base causes WIFI signal to be lost. What's your experience on that?
Yes, on .649, my wifi connection keeps breaking..

The name of the OS is not going to change mate, only the thread, as it currently has OS6 in the name.

My connections with .649 have been really great. You just have to remember if you are wandering out of a wifi area to turn it off in connections then it doesn't reboot.

For the 9900 you have the choise of the following:

    7.1.0.523
    7.1.0.569

    and the leaked 7.1.0.649

We recommend the 7.1.0.523 radio as it has been the most reliable on for
    most people.
Sorry, I meant to say that there is a base 658.

Well, you can install 658, keep the java. Install 569/523 for 9900

Then copy and paste the 658 java to it.

Then copy and paste the hybrid java to it.

    Then shrink, then install

I'm not sure the exact differences but rc1 & 2 have lots of different files. You may like one of them better than the other. However installation instructions for all RC releases are pretty much the same so that's why you may be getting confused
