I'm not a Blackberry newbie you know. Yeah, already settled in pretty well, been running it more than 3 days, and I know when is the time that one OS already settled in. And I'm sure, RC5 is not playing well with my device. Same goes to other RC excluding RC4
Sure you know what's best for your device, it was just a suggestion and i know you are not a newbie, no offence meant in any ways whatsoever...rolleyes>>>

Good old .523, where would we be without it.

Beats me that RIM have never managed to come up with another .sfi that runs so cool or works so well.

Shame that you can't mess with the make up of the .sfi or I'm sure that Zocs would have made a brilliant Hybrid one.

I use 3G most of the day and UMA (wifi calling) in the house.

I have bluetooth on in the car as well but turn it off when I leave the car.
I used to turn my wireless off if I went out the house but now just leave it on all the time as I still get battery from 7.30 till 10.30pm at least at night.

I am currently running os 7.1.0.569 on the Bold 9900 and I'm desiring something better! I want to know which is the most stable version of this hybrid? I've read a lot of the posts in here and some are a little conflicting. RC 1 through 4? Which one should I try out tonight?

Lots of people are liking RC3 however having run in RC5a for this week its doing well.

Smooth, not too laggy, and good battery.

I am on on 658 with 569 sfi and it stays at 23 degree of temp most of the times. The only two times that I wanted to follow zocs advices and try 523 sfi off were horrible..not as much as 658 sfi but quite messy still. The carrier is the best gear you can get around as well.
So just forget about it and let's just say that, apart from the fails one ,the sfi has to really and truly accomplish with your area and carrier parameters.

maybe he meant .649 and the .sfi performance depends on the carrier network

I switch on the bluetooth while driving only, then switch it off. I use EDGE and while browsing either use 3G or Wifi.

I just finished installing the RC5 on the .523 base. I have a 9900. I seem to be missing certain fonts in the devices' display. I didn't shrink or mess around with the OS just backed up, wiped and the previous drill of copy and replace on the base (.523) OS. Can some one please help me get the fonts back?
