BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices
- Thx again Zocs.. cool. I can't believe how much support you give to BL hybrids. Amazing! So u think I'm best off reloading RC4 over 569 with 523 sfi and the files from your last post.08-26-12 07:30 PMLike 0
- Was curious if downloading VVM from Rogers site would make a difference (since I found that the component name was different and included Rogers), so I uninstalled and downloaded from Rogers.Com/m/bbvvm. I was getting weird error messages, like am not enroled in vvm and cannot connect to vvm. I was told to turn off WiFi initially so VVM can connect to the Rogers server. App Resource Monitor kept shutting it down & since it was causing so much lag, I wasn't saying it's ok to make it an exception, but I'm wondering if, since I use WiFi (with SmartWiFi) a lot and the app is constantly restarting, I'm wondering if the issue that Rogers noted was causing my VVM issues and extreme lag. Anyway, generally the cell phone reps aren't knowledgable and I'm sure can't hold a candle to the BL hybrid team, especially Zocs, but if I have issues after reinstall, I'll uninstall VVM again and install from Rogers. Leave WiFi totally off for now and see if it makes a difference.08-26-12 08:04 PMLike 0
- Maybe Rogers vvm is to go with the OS vvm?
Not sure how that works as we don't have the service here.

- Meterberry gives effed up report on battery drainage. I use the device analyzer to monitor battery, and with HEAVY usage I got a drain of about 4.87% which to be fair is the highest I've seen on RC4.
At one time Meterberry said my adr was 34.65%08-26-12 08:49 PMLike 0 - may i know is any different wipe os using bbdevice, dekstopmanager or jlcommander?
normally i wipe my os bb using security wipe on bb then i install new/leaked os by pc. my pc does not have jlcommander. sometimes i using dekstopmanager to wipe/restorefactory.
it is ok this method i use to install any hybrid?
Sent from my BlackBerry 9860 using Tapatalk08-26-12 11:10 PMLike 0 - After the first full day with RC4, I've almost zero memory leak, average battery drain of 2.5% ( minimum 0.8% and maximum 7.5% ) and an average battery temperature of 23 degs C. I can't imagine how much better once this settles in.
Thanks Zocs and the crew at BerryLicio.us

Once the device is 'wiped' it will reboot and load, but it won't. You'll see a 507 error a little after the half point, which is what you want to see. Then load the OS in BBH Tool, shrink, and launch loader.
Edit - Just loaded RC4 on my little brother's 9790, via java swap. Shrunk it to 92.?% and loaded this beast! Thank you to the BL team for constantly being on point! Good job team!Last edited by sharma0702; 08-26-12 at 11:15 PM.

JL is the first bb tool i think and it's good tool.
I think u need 3 tools :
1.DM to back up messages and contacts
2.BBH Tool ( to shrink and many more )
3.BBSAK to back up and reload 3rd app,to wiping the BB08-27-12 12:17 AMLike 0 - Tried almost all RC's except for the RC3. Finally rolled back to the RC2 over the .569 with .523 sfi. The fastest, the snappiest and the most energy convenient for my 9900.08-27-12 01:40 AMLike 0

RC3 was pre 649 and only has some 580 files in it. Good battery and fairly smooth
RC4- was after the 649 leak and has a lot more 580 files included. Very smooth and also has good battery.
Its a normal progression when new OS's appear. The only thing we need now is another decent radio file.
Btw Phill. I am sure 668 isn't the highest build out there. RIM will be well in advance is 649 has already leaked.

Thanks08-27-12 02:22 AMLike 0 - The RC4 alpha was using the 649 radio but was too flaky.
So the Beta which is as far as a release has the 523 radio advised. But some are still using the higher one.
Until we get a newer and better release of OS that is the release RC4 that is on the 1st thread post.

Battery temperature and climate has a direct correlation to ADR.08-27-12 02:47 AMLike 0
