A little under 48 hours on version 3. Feels like its not quite settled but generally smooth and responsive. ADR 3.7 which is very good for me, especially since Visual Voicemail Plus doesn't seem to be running properly. Has been shut down a number of times by Application Resource Manager. Know that I can stop monitoring it but each time it shuts down, device becomes extremely slugish, almost frozen. So, the app is definitely an issue. Not sure if its the current (and prior versions) of the app or a compatibility issue with the hybrid. Has been an issue with all versions. Just experienced an issue, believe related to CAMultimate pro, where picture display did not come up and immediately after experienced "App Error 603" requiring reset. No biggie and again seems to be an app issue.

    @zocs, will rc3 work on torch 9810???

i dont like shrinking(dont know how to )

what is the thing about deleting the alx file??

where do i use the jenings alx file???

Jennings alx is to be put in where the rest of them are.

If you look under options, device, app management, os7.1 then scroll down to see duplicates etc, this one has been trimmed.

Other than that, shrinking or not is your choice.

Either way can't be fine bro.. as zocs java folder is 90MB and base .560 folder is 200mb+. I am still confused ... I hear all you guys saying that you got better performance than RC2... but it has not been so for me :S...

I think I am doing something wrong. Can you tell me how you installed yours?

and I knw the answer for .alx dakota files and 523.sfi. But what about the other files in '9900M_v7.1.0.569_P5.1.0.415' folder?
Either way is fine, I have done it myself.

Deleted ALL Java files from installed .569 and replaced with RC3 Java.

My 9900 is working fine on this Java.

    Bedding in a hybrid

one would restore all data and apps, then do a batt pull.

One then would then do another batt pull before bed, then fully charge it over night.

One would also do 2x battery pulls per day for next two days.

Battery pull is not the same as softreset using an app of any kind though.

15 hours off charge and working today, so above average usage for a Sunday. Still pleased with this though...

Everything is downloaded. Taking the RC3 plunge tomorrow.

One Quest Phill. Your MeterBerry Application Memory reads 768MBs. Default is 512MBs. By increasing it in the app, does it make any difference to the device?

The default setting in MeterBerry is 512MB, but the 9900 has 768MB of App Memory. You can force set the correct amount in Options. Makes no difference to the device, just gives an accurate reading.

    Shouldn't be a problem provided you're running at least a .523 base.

Re your previous question on bbm connected apps you can permanently disconnect it under the bbm options itself.

Did you install a fresh base on to pc? Did you copy and paste this java mix into the java directory then shrink this?

I have one person confirmed it to be working

yup fresh install of .523 then replace the whole java folder with the rc3 java. launch loader. proceed to downgrade. everything went smoothly until it reach the end where the device starts to reinitialize and then it keeps on rebooting repeatedly.

i guess i will use back my previous shrinked version from bbhtool.

You only meant to copy and paste the java from the 28mb zipped file. As the hybrid only covers so much, so existing 523 base still needed

Thank you Zocster for your hybrid.

Just finished loading .569 + RC3 on my 9900. I was still on .284, and didn't really have any complaints. However with all these good reviews decided I had to update. Being my first hybrid and "unofficial" update, I'm not sure if I did your "proper" installation. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to replace the .569 java and umts with the actual folders that came from the RC3 file. I dragged and dropped the contents of the RC3 java folder to the .569 java folder, same with the umts. The rest of the files i dragged and dropped as well, with the rest of the .alx. So if anyone can chime in I greatly appreciate it.

One more thing, promise this is the last. I used BBDM to do the update, I wanted a fresh install. I unchecked the back up, but DM still carried over apps and other data. So I did a wipe including user installed apps. Is there any apps I was suppose to have from RC3?

    You did everything right.

And no other third party apps that you can not download from RIM servers (official or beta).
