BerryLicio.us08-19-12 05:03 AMLike 0 - Installed RC3 and it worked like a charm, i have now moved to a 9900 from a 9790 and it was smooth install to say the least via the DM. Followed all steps and overwrote all the Java, sfi and alx files ( i also deleted a few alx file like windows messenger, google talk and facebook just to name a few).
I believe it is too early for me to put my findings but a notable change is faster rebooting compared to 7.1.0.523 that came pre-installed with the device and a faster browser with great with super wi-fi. I did not find anything new with the bbm though, maybe i will dig deeper.
I will keep you all posted for findings in a a day or two.
Thanks Zocster !zocster likes this.08-19-12 05:10 AMLike 1 -

don't need to shrink the java files as it is pre shrunk by Zocster. I for one did not shrink.
you only need to delete the alx of whatever you don't need for eg. i deleted the facebook & twitter alx files cause i don't use then. Even if you leave them would not make a difference.
jennings file was for RC2, don't need to use it for RC3.
Hope it answers your queries !08-19-12 10:01 AMLike 0 -

RC 3 based question!
bro the 9900 full os zocster has given us... we just have to extract it all into the loader files folder whr the OS folder is right? Plus wht I did is I installed 569 as base. I deleted all the files in the loader! folder.... then extracted the files of full os for 9900 with zocs gave us. Then cut paste all of them in the OS folder. Did I do right?
Or did i have to let the existing .569 files to remain thr and then paste and replace with zocs 9900 os files?
PLEASE HELP!!08-19-12 11:32 AMLike 0 - RC 3 based question!

Zocs Java is pre shrunk to his taste so may not have everything still in it that you want to use so if you have any doubts paste it over the full .569 Java rather than replace it totally.08-19-12 11:37 AMLike 0 -
I think I am doing something wrong. Can you tell me how you installed yours?
and I knw the answer for .alx dakota files and 523.sfi. But what about the other files in '9900M_v7.1.0.569_P5.1.0.415' folder?08-19-12 12:35 PMLike 0 - Everything seems to have settled in, battery is the same if not a little better than RC2. Memory is at -0.9MB. Been beating the heck out of it and battery at the moment is 5.7% per hour drain. All numbers are from Meterberry.
Edit -
*I've enabled device analyzer, and checked under device responsiveness, I have 39% free as opposed to the 37% I had from RC2. Application storage shows me at 203.2MB free app storage. This is truly an amazing hybrid, I love it!*
As per BBM, I haven't noticed anything 'better' maybe its just me, but my messages seem to be going through faster.Last edited by sharma0702; 08-19-12 at 12:41 PM.
