Is it possible to fit BB10 files into OS7??? if so, why not a complete port over? Excuse my ignorance

my last comment was a joke. It looks like the bb10 OS is similar to the playbook so the files are a different format.

BB7 phones wouldn't be able to read them and with the processors being different, probably wouldn't be powerfull enough anyway.

This is day 3 with the hybrid, this thing is flawless! Let it settle in, and it took about 2 days and maybe 2-3 battery pulls a day.

Edit - I think this hybrid is idling on air...been a little over an hour, and there is no change in battery. I'll give it some work once I get a few cold ones in me!

Guess that it is, but I wanted to be sure that DM would pick it up to install.

I think both ways are fine. An overwrite and shrink would be very similar.

if you use 569.sfi, then just replace the java folder.

but if you want to use 523.sfi, either you can install fresh 523 and replace the java or simply replace both the java and .sfi in your 569 base install os.

it's up to you to use the 569 or 523 .sfi.

    my mix :
    - i myself using 569 .sfi, i found 569 suits my carrier better.
    - i simply install 569, delete all the java, and replace with java from RC3.

same os can gives different performance. for me myself. 569 suits me better.

most of the people in this thread found that 523 better and runs cooler.

    569 base:
    - java (you can either delete all the base java or replace it, because java in RC3 already pre-shrunk)
    - UMTS (depends which one will you use, 569 .sfi or 523 .sfi)

if you want yo use 523 .sfi in 523 base os :
    - Java same like above
    - UMTS (you don't have to change it)

I am on Voda IT and the 569 signal is much better then 523, the speed of data access can't be compared also. I don't understand why everyone keeps sayng vice versa.

yup .sfi is the signal (UMTS). well then, you only need to change the Java folder in your 569 base java.

better overwrite the base java with RC3, then you shrink it according your need (cause RC3 java already been pre-shrunk by zocster.).

I think for the majority [from what I've been able to see] seem to like the radio [.sfi] from .523. Just use which ever OS's radio file with Zocster's hybrid and things should work out.

    Quite simple.

    Install 569 fresh

Copy and paste java mix into the java of the OS

    Shrink

    Run the loader

For 9810, can one use "7.1.0.536 (asia)" as base along with "RC2" & "jennings" to Load on 9810 ?
