copy paste the java over to the fresh 580 install and give it a whirl!
You mean a fresh .569 install? I thought the highest official OS version was .569 by Claro?

I'm currently using RC2 and I noticed that when I visit the youtube site/use the app the videos don't play properly (I'm not a regular youtuber) and when I try to look at my applications through DM the list is empty. I'd like to try the new RC3, but I don't know if the same issues will carry over....

No issue at all with videos playing, are you under 3G coverage? Do you reboot your Berry regularly?

I'm under Tmobile's 4G and after the initial set of reboots to settle the RC2, I now reboot every other day.

Are you able to see your applications in desktop manager?

    Actually with RC2 I was:
    1) installing .569
    2) inserting the Java from .580
    3) adding my languages flavor
    4) inserting RC2 package
    5) shrinking

    It worked really well

Sure! with DM 6.1 or 7.0 /7.1 go under application on the left and wait until java connects. Then you will be able to delete them as you prefer

I thought the RC2 package came with a Java files that we were just meant to zip into the .569 Java, I never inserted the .580 Java first. Was that the way it was supposed to be done? How should we do it for RC3?

I must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today, but I am confused. Do we download .569, delete vendor files, unzip RC3 into the .569 replacing (saying yes to all in the unzip process) everything or do we delete everything (java, umts, .alx) in .569 then just unzip RC3 into the directory? Seems to be a few ways to do this.

But that's just it. Nothing shows up on the application list, and the bar at the bottom still shows that memory is being used.

From what I understand, RC3 is a full OS and you just load it on without unzipping it into .569? Zocster is this correct? or you can unzip it into .569 overwrite duplicate files then shrink?

In order to have all the OS apps (Vad etc.), just unzip it into .569 overwrite duplicate files then shrink it...

RC 3 is definetly better than RC 2, more responsive, and little bit better in ADR...

Registration is free, you don't have to wait, if you know what you're doing lol.

Move some files around, some alx copy paste for the latest FB and Twit.

Bbm is a hybrid so watch carefully what they are in the alx, open in notepad.

This is a full 9900 OS. You can only take some in java and alx, not all, so your base OS for 9790 is still required.

You are right about the way "originally" installing RC2. Just shared my way of install, inserting the cods from .580 first

RC3 installed and running. All looks fine, except two issues related to synchronization of services.

Podcast subscriptions syncing never finishes, at least in last hour or so. In the past was couple of minutes at most

Have an issue with Enterprise Activation. Most strange is that the first time, after the OS was installed and the 9900 "waked up" from the install, the Activation finished well.
Later the Activation started again, showing that all items are complete, but stays on 0%.

After device restart (alt-shft-del or actual battery-pull) the Activation initiates itself again, and stays on 0% but showing all items completed.

The service status shows BIS and BES are running fine

    Any ideas?

    did you wipe before installing?

after injecting cods for RC3 I had similar issue with emails not working for half the night. Reloaded OS after wipe all syncs fine now.

Zocs, just a quick question can I unzip RC3 into 7.1.0.569 and then shrink to my liking? or is it better I use your full OS install for RC3?

Just curious if this hybrid BBM for OS 7.1 by any chance compatible & will work on OS 6 as well? Like to give it a spin.
