Sorry for the somewhat off-topic posts & any troubles caused & big thanks to all specially to BigwhiteUK.

Before I rest my case, I think that in soft(ware) reset the device is also turned off & goes through the cycle: turn off device -> load os & drivers to memory & start.

    Thanks once again. Peace.

why would it brick your phone?
Honestly, I had the first waves of the 9900 released, it was obviously flawed, I am on my 3rd 9900 from that first wave, I dare not do an Alt + Shift + Del as it bricked the first 2. Even this 9900 doesn't have near the same ADR and MDR that people are reffering to with RC2 plus .523 sfi. I bring it down to the fact its country and network specific and possibly my 9900 and/or battery are not exactly right.

I think its more likely network conditions. Like Indonesia for example, they get H+ alright, but absolutely shocking low speeds, network unstable, handset gets a real hammering from finding real signal. I won't last half a day when I went there ....

Hong Kong's being one of the leading cities in the world has cutting edge networks, but I think its the densely populated and densely packed nature of the city and the interaction with base stations that is obviously affecting something. I spend most of the day in super high rises as well, which is not as common in other parts of the world.

No solution as it is not a problem, have you resent your service books while running the hybrid? Have you battery pull?

    I have this hybrid running sweet on 9900, 9790, 9810 and 9860.

    Thanks

Based on your reply, I again installed RC2 on base .523 on 9860. the same problem of not saving wifi connection and not connecting it. I did hard reset by battery pull for around 5min and then deleted all service books and got resent. So, I had to again comeback to official OS .523.

We have definetely had at least one user using the Hybrid with the 9860, it seems to
    work no probs.

Hi need help here, I'm using the RC2 Hybrid on my BB 9900 along with the Dakota zipped file..

No major issues so far except the video links/you tube shared links from the facebook app are not working.. Instead it will redirect you to download the shortcut with the message "the item you selected cannot be displayed would you like to download instead" ..

Any idea on how to fix this? -thanks in advance..

What version of facebook app are you running. I am running the 3.2 version from beta zone and not having issues.

That's not an issue with this hybrid. It's either a problem with the original upload link to FB being incompatible with your device, or your version of FB.

Facebook 3.2 seems to sort lots of small issues that 3.1 had, I had issues with the vids and groups before but they have finally managed to get all the small issues fixed.

It will probably get released fairly soon.

That's app related, what are the apps loaded?

Third party apps and native, please list.

And please with any hybrids, full backup, WIPE, then load OS

Six tools is now up to 1.7.5? That's old

    File scout also 2.9.1.1

Further more, you can turn off fancy character's bbm integration off.
