Try a battery pull, clutching at straws but you never know.
Tried it a number of times mate. I have a feeling its the shrink process. It has to be. If I don't shrink I am sure UK English would be there.

He sure is, glad that helped. Hard to tell what you did wrong but i agree if you had left the shrink it may have helped you.

Keep that in mind for the future.

If was defo the shrink Ian, in any event, I have Zoc'ses JAD handy for the future. I still cannot delete US English for the input language under manage, but at least it also says English (United Kingdom) for input. I wish I could delete the US one, but I think that is default for BlackBerrys. Under your options/typing and language/language then input language can you manage or remove English (United States)? or is it greyed out like mine?

Agreed, keep the jad package just in case, I havent tried to remove it but as you already said I think US will be the default language anyway. I can select it if i wanted too.

I come back from my vacation and I see that you have updated the Hybrid with RC2... GREAT! lol

I was wondering if anyone has the visual voicemail jad?

So i figured that a lot of people are recommending to install RC2 with the base .569 but with the .523 sif. I am wondering how I could do this.

    Can anyone help me please?

Download and install .523. Copy .sfi and save. Uninstall .523.

    Download and install fresh .569.

Paste .523 .sfi into .569 UMTS Folder.

Paste RC2 files into .569 Java

    Replace .alx files

    Delete Vendor.xml file(s)

Install using app Loader or DM as preferred.

I raised the the same query.

It is not the same file.

The .sfi denotes the platform number and they differ using the .523 and .569 files.

    You can delete it

Just use BBH Tool to delete everything ending in _US (except net_rim_speech_data_en_US)

They're pretty similar, 523 just runs cooler.

I did try removing them first, but had a few problems. Lots of errors before my data was restored, and it killed VAD completely. Much safer to remove them after a restore.

    Hey Legal,

I had installed RC1 replaced the necessary alx files and shrunk the OS. So now if I wanted to install RC2 and follow these steps. How would you recommend I go about it?

Should I just overwrite the the files as if nothing happened, run the shrink again, wipe device and use DM to re-install?

Fresh install of base OS is best. I suggest removing OS first, then reboot, reinstall OS then hybrid then shrink.
