Hi Zocster, Phill, Ian, Legal or anyone else that can help, what .cod (s) do I put back to restore English GB (UK ENGLISH) to display language, input language, physical keyboard input and voice dailing under options/typing and language/language The only thing in English GB is voice search. When I shrank the OS with BBH Tools I deliberately unchecked UK English, but its still gone. I need spell check as well in UK English. Thanks.
ENGB from 580 try this extract to sd card and run the jad.

How was 523 on your network in general? if it had better reception than 569 then yes.

maybe you didn't overwrite the java base, instead you keep both the base java and the RC2?

I took RC2 and. Unzipped it into .569 Java folder. I then said to replace all. The files with the same name. Zoc deletes a lot of base applications and he said just overwirte in the java folder if I wanted them. This is exactly what I. Did.

That sounds about right, I did have the 580 java in that mix also so you will find that although zoc deleted some of the apps when i compressed my java directory you might find some were back again.

Yoiu should still get 580 in the help screen though....odd

Really odd, I'm going to do it again now. Wonder if shrinking the OS had something to do with it? It wasn't the help screen, it was in options/device/about device versions

I am on 523 as of the weekend, however 569 sfi worked well, just made the phone a little bit warmer.

it worked! using a .569 sfi, I think its because I had 2 OS's on the computer. I cannot think of any other explanation. So I didn't bother with the .523 sfi. Its taken more than an hour and a half, now I have to restore data and apps, another 40 minutes. Then I have to load ENGLISH GB.

Thats good to hear, to put you at ease i have about 5 OS installs on my computer just now so it couldnt have been that.

As for the restore i can do it in around 30 mins including restoring my app cods so you need a bit of practise...lol

Enjoy the Hybrid and your phones improved performance.

Btw, why did you have to load english?? its the default language on the OS. As long as you selected it before you installed

All we need now is an OS higher than .580 to drop and we can start the process all over again !!!!!

Mmm, thats an odd one with the english and with a fresh os install. The only thing that slowed me down the last os instal was my phone having to resync BBM, it was unusable for about 40 mins. But that doesnt happen much thankfully.

    I'm still on Vista too.

Found it really helps to run CCleaner before installs and Defraggler regularly.

Hi guys, I used BBH Tools to install the ENGB cods from Zocsters Zip (Zoc I think it would have been the same as executing the jad). But No luck. Under options/typing and language/language I have these issues-

-display language has 2 options English and English (US)
-input language under manage is dulled out and the default is English (United States)
-Physical Keyboard input the only option is English (US)
-Voice Dialing the only option is English (US)
-Voice Search ironically I can choose between English (US) and English (GB)

    Can anyone help? Cheers.

Believe it or not I have both English US and UK installed, I never even check normally.

Mine will allow me to change between the 2 or just plain English, Have you tried to remove the US one? And I am guessing your phone rebooted after BBH pushed the cod?

I am at a loss for words, I used the .569 from claro dominican republic, zoc'ses RC2 overwrite on the original java, and his .alx files. I did a full wipe and loaded OS, data and apps. When I used BBH Tools it did not reboot, I did a manual reboot as I still did not see the UK english. Its bloody annoying.
