I guess im using .569, thats the os i pated the java files over and its not just the radio, my battery life is quite bad on rc2, but i have good battery life on the first release, so i think ill stick with that
The radio file as it is known (.sfi) does not just do what it's name sugests and it works closely with the Java.

Have a read at this and consider swapping the .sfi to .523 with RC2 Java over .569.

Apologies, forgot to paste the link in my original reply LOL

okay, ill replace the sfi file and give that a go. Also, what are the 'Dakota' files for? i am using them at the moment, maybe ill reload without using them and see how that goes?

The 3 .alx files you replace prevent some duplicate cods being installed on your device.

Recommended by Zocs but not essential.

I swapped back to 523 at the weekend after running rc2 for almost a week, finding them very similar. All i changed was the radio file also.

when you say you use the .523 radio file, do you mean that you use the .523 base rather than .569?

Nope, use .569 base but with the .523 sfi.

the only file you need to change is the sfi file,

I am running 569 with 580 overlayed then the hybrid mix over it.

Also i changed the alx files and the sfi i took from 523 the other day to see
if it will run a wee but cooler.

Why .580 overlayed? That's just overkill Ian, especially when the hybrid is already 90% .580 anyway.

Thats could be because the java you are all using came from my install directory after i tested it for zoc

That is how I made mine:

    - 580 full Java
    - 569 sfi
    - RC2 java over the 580

Shrunken with 255 MB on empty stage and 180 MB with 34 apps installed.

After only a day of install I get 1.5 ADR ph with medium usage

    It is a beast

Ok I have .569 with RC2. I have the Dakota alx files. Where do I find the .523sfi? Do I need to download .523 to get it? Or is it available somewhere else?

Yes, you need to download it. Then just copy the .523 sfi from the UMTS folder and paste it over the one in .569

DO you mean install the .523 OS on the PC and pull that file? Or it can be taken by itself from somewhere. Sorry, not exactly sure what you mean.

Hi Zocster, Phill, Ian, Legal or anyone else that can help, what .cod (s) do I put back to restore English GB (UK ENGLISH) to display language, input language, physical keyboard input and voice dailing under options/typing and language/language The only thing in English GB is voice search. When I shrank the OS with BBH Tools I deliberately unchecked UK English, but its still gone. I need spell check as well in UK English. Thanks.

The hybrid itself contains engb resources from 580 complete. I will try to get an installer for you by morning.
