unfortunately the ability to turn tiles off came in os7. you're stuck with them all on os6

i dont kno if i did something wrong but i followed ur instructions exactly and this didnt even come close to workin..the loader doesnt even detect this hybrid. are sure it works cuz i tried 4 times just to make sure i did it right. yes my usb works yes i deleted the vendor file and did clear the original os before installin the hybrid and everything else u said to do but still no luck plz help cuz im honestly out of patience with this

ok i still kept tryin it finally read te os but it kept tellin me some thing about email setup library then a couple trys again it stopped readin the os ....im startin to think this thing isnt even compatible with the torch

You do realize you need a BASE os to put the hybrid into?

Once you load this Ultimate into the base, shrink, wipe and load. You probably got messed up somewhere, and it does work on the 9800 Torch, loaded it on my aunt's Torch 2 weeks ago.

Now just look for the latest available OS for your device, in your case it is 9800M_PBr6.0.0_rel3159_PL6.6.0.250_A6.0.0.749.exe

Install, delete vendor file(s), shrink, wipe and load!

You're going to be using 6.0.0.749 as your base to load the ultimate OS into!

Did you remove both vendor files? Chances. Are you might have the 2nd hidden one.

And as for compatibility, it was tested on various models and is in use by many forum users.

Install base os

Remove vendor files

Download the os6 hybrid

Extract into the java folder for the os

Run loader. Exe


Obviously u haven't included the backup and restore steps.

You have to use Jallang for your base, install the the hybrid in a new folder somewhere on your PC, then copy and paste the java file only onto your base, shrink it and you're good to go...

Hey guys. Noob here. I got a hold of my brother's 9800 after he upgraded to Z10. I flashed to this hybrid (1.0.0) with no SIM inserted, but with the Mobile network radio on. The update went fine - I did receive the "update successful" message. I then used BB DM to switch devices from my current 9790 to the 9800 (SIM was inserted in the 9790 with mobile network and wifi radios on). That went fine also. After I inserted my SIM (from the same carrier as my bro had on the 9800) - the phone does not recognize the SIM and is saying Insert SIM.

Any ideas?

Update: 24May13 - It turns out that the SIM card I had from my carrier was an old one (9 years old) and the 9800 would not recognize it. I received an "upgraded" SIM today and it works fine.

With .sfi includes the .650 .sfi as standard.

Without .sfi has no .sfi allowing you to choose whichever one you prefer to use.

Sorry to bump an old thread. But the link to the OTA Email Setup Application in the first post doesn't seem to work. Anyone got a fresh link to fix this? The OS works amazingly otherwise. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
