Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls...got an even better build for you today, I'm proud to bring you all BDHP v6.1 for ALL OS5 AND OS6 devices! v6.0 was a great success, but building on the awesome performance and adding a couple bug fixes I give you v6.1:

    !!PLEASE READ!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ensure you are selecting correct installation path when running installer!
Sample installation path is as follows:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v6.0.0.448_P6.6.0.124

    OS5 Version:
Includes 5.0.0.972/977/983/5.2/6.0.0.450/6.1.0.7 files (YES, EVEN ON OS5!)
Featuring new shrink application (BB Boss Shrinker)
    OS6 version on help screen
    OS6 clock faces

    OS6 Version:
    Includes 6.0.0.431/448/450/6.1.0.7 files
Featuring new shrink application (BB Boss Shrinker)
    Newest DocsToGo version

    Instructions:
    1) Remove any installed OS and install base OS
    2) Download BDHP v6.1 Installer
    3) Run installer, and set installation path
    4) Make sure to create a backup
    5) Wipe device using BB Boss Shrinker, BBSAK, or similiar tool (optional)
    6) Run loader.exe and install
    7) After installation do a battery pull

    Note:
For those of you that missed previous releases, or are new to BDHP, I have started releasing a mini hybrid. Instead of downloading the hybrid in its entirety, I am only including files changed. Please do not be alarmed when you see the file size as being 16.3MB, this is indeed the full download. This results in faster download and installation speeds, which keeps everyone happy

Yes, this also means ONE installer for ALL devices!

Installer Download Links (for all devices, OS5 and OS6):
    RapidShare AG, Cham, Switzerland
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
    Deposit Files
Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: BDHP v6.1.exe
Download BDHP v6.1.exe for free on uploading.com

Which base OS would you recommend for using V6.1 for the Torch? .448 or .450?

    TIA

I loaded over .450 for my Torch and all seems to be going well. Except for restoring my Calendar via BES but I'm not sure that is the fault of the OS.

I'll be giving this a shot... I didnt thing these were hybrids, but what exactly is teh advantage over a leaked OS?

I am running the leaked OS .450 on my Torch, what would be the advantages of running this hybrid?

Im running the leaked .450, what would i see different by adding the hybrid? Sorry for the dumb question, is that i've never added a hybrid to any OS i've downloaded.

You shouldn’t visually see anything different, but the idea is to improve things like battery life, UI speed, fix a bug here or there..

I even went back to the default theme (ugh!) to verify: nope. No animated icon. I did have it before when I installed BDHP v6.0 overtop of .448. If the icon is important, you could install this hybrid over .448 and see what happens.

For the those wondering about hybrids, a quick read/search through this subforum would have answered your question: http://forums.crackberry.com/f224/wh...2/#post5933638

Can I ask a dumb/noob question? I use a bb 9630 with BDHP 6.0 as of yesterday, a week before that BDHP 5.0. I'm looking to step up to BDHP 6.1 for no other reason than its the latest release of these guys excellent and much appreciated hard work.

For the passed two installs, I've chosen OS5. What would happen, during the installer, if I select OS6 as opposed to OS5? After all, the 9650 runs OS6, and with the exception of the additional memory (and a few other things), it is essentially the same phone but can run the higher OS. But I digress, has anyone tried this?

Thanks!! But I was more curious to know if people noticed anything better over the leaked OS of .450 vs the hybrid!
