Normally for me in Options:Third Party Applications there's nothing there. but I just checked today and voila! Personalization & Privacy for BBM, Mobile Conference and Search. Clicking on it revealed that collecting and sending usage data to RIM were enabled by default!! Obviously I turned it to disabled!
There's the standard blurb of no personally-identifiable data, but I'm sure this was a clause in the 58-page EULA that we all read when we run a new or upgraded app from RIM.
