I phoned orange 2 days ago to set up my data plan.

I have no blackberry messenger app but a 'blackberry pin app'

I cannot accept contacts or apparently when i try to add people they do not receive the 'invite'.

I am really confused and just want to be able to use bbm...help!

Must admit I've never heard of a blackberry pin app? If you do not have bbm installed on your phone have you gone into app world and installed it from there?

Do other data functions like email and the Internet work for you?
