Hi,

I am think about getting a BB soon, and was wondering, can I link my Google Talk account to use BBM? In other words, I would like to use BBM as my Google Talk client. Also how do you set up email? It might be the 8530 I would get.

that's not possible as they are two completely separate platforms. you'd have to have all your contacts using a bb to get them to use bbm

Ok. so I would have to just download Google talk and use that. So with push email, how do I do that? Can the included mail client do that?

yes RE google talk, just install the google talk app and chat away

You can add email addresses via the email setup

You can link your GoogleTalk contacts to your BlackBerry contacts, but I don't think you can chat cross platform.

Yeah. The Google Talk app is a separate app. It will link into your contact list if you want. You won't see their messages inside BBM, but they can be displayed in the unified inbox, or within the Google Talk app itself.
