I'm feeling really stupid. I've got these in BBM...but I can't get them to copy. I get into edit autotext and I don't have the paste option. Major case of operator error here I'm sure.

More than likely what you have done is this...You probably didn't copy the item you wanted. Go back to your list you were sent. Select the icon you want, then hit the bb button and copy the icon, THEN go to auto text and paste the icon into the "replace with" field.

Try it again and see if it works. More than likely, you didn't really copy the icon, that's why the paste option didn't show up under the bb button or menu.

Here's another question. Am I copying the actual smiles I see when I pasted the boxes in BBM? Or am I copying the boxes from my email?

Make sure when you copy, that you start from either side of the box, hit the shift key, then roll across the box. If you're just on it and it's highlighted, it won't copy.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice from you and Wulf. Now I just need to figure out which symbol is which before I copy and paste. I think someone back a few paces put together a list of the icons, with names next to each. I'll do some digging.

Nabby,
You need to select and copy one symbol at a time to paste into auto text to create a new entry. Is that what you are trying to do?
