Does anyone know why pics have to be cropped before they are sent via BBM or if there is a way around it?

It's a feature added because the BBM pics are so small. Zooming in or out, then cropping the image is a good thing.

bbm has always cropped photos its just now in 5.0 you have the ability to control this..

its really annoying when you are trying to send a wallpaper and it crops it so it doesn't fit the screen correctly..

My BBM never even had the option to crop photos until I upgraded to 5.0

I haven't had to crop any that I've sent, I did have to crop my avatar pic though. Are we confusing the two things?

No it's not an option. With the Storm you could take a pic send it to a BBM contact full size. Granted that was before BBM 5.0. Now since I have had the tour even before 5.0 you snap a pic and send and you are forced to have the picture size reduced. You can move the crop box around to adjust it but I can't figure out a way to send the full size picture. I am guessing that it has something to do with the messenger service being used a ton and cameras getting more and more MP's so pictures also increase in size. I just haven't seen or heard if that is actually the case or if there is a work around.

Changing picture size doesn't change anything.

I thought I read someplace that it cropped it if you were sending a pic to someone that did not have bbm 5.0.
