    With T-Mobile, since it's GSM, it should work.

    What happens when you try to BBM while on a call?

    I do not believe this is possible... nor email while on the phone... only on 3G phones, which we all know the 8900 is not 3G.

    Should work if you're connected to a wifi network. I'd test it to make sure but I'm not around a wifi network right now.

    Ya, I'm sure we all wish the 8900 was a 3G device... I know I heard that over and over again before they officially released the 8900, but I still think this is a great device... maybe someday TMO will release a 3G Blackberry device... oh to dream!!!

    It will only work over 3G (GSM) or if Wifi is connected.

    I don't think it works

    voice and data use the same "lines" on EDGE/GSM phones. You can have one or the other

    on 3G phones voice and data use separate lines, so you can do both at the same time

    No, it does not. However when you get off the phone, the BBM messages will immediately come.

    If you are connected to your phone call via UMA (Tmobile), you will be able to use the BBM and talk on the phone simultaneously. I do it fairly regularly with no problems. However, beware that if you have the speaker phone on and you're typing, the person on the other end can hear you pressing the keys.
