I don't know how true this is but I just received this msg from 5 different contacts and none of the 5 know eachother so I wanted to get everyone else's input and also warn everyone if this really is true. Msg Reads: Do Not accept this contact :21536df8 (mireya diaz) she is a hacker!!! She will format your BB and all your contacts also. Attention: If one of your contacts accept her u will get hacked also!!! Send this to all your contacts...

    What's your thoughts?

Good grief. Not another one. I've seen a dozen threads about this. Different names but always the same thing.

Confused people trying to do good. The messages are nonsense. Just be sure to never accept or reply to a request from a user with a 7 digit PIN instead of an 8 digit PIN. Doing so can corrupt the BBM databases. It can not however allow any code to be ran on your device.

And no, I'm not going into details. That is enough info to stay safe.

Send this to all your contacts...
That is the give away, it's a hoax that depends on you being frightened enough to send it to all your contacts.

This sort of thing has been around as long as electronic communications.

today from a friend on bbm about the bs lol

This is from RIM aka BlackBerry:

Security is one of the cornerstones of the BlackBerry® Solution. The protective measures built into BlackBerry® products ensure customers can securely access sensitive information on their BlackBerry® Devices.

Please be assured its not possible for any BlackBerry® device to be hacked via adding someone to BBIM® (BlackBerry® Instant Messenger™) So please play your part in stopping the panicking chain messages about hackers.
