    My wife has the 8110 Pearl & for reasons un-knowen to me, she cant join a BBM group,

    any tips on how to over come this?

    Options / Advanced Options / Applications.

    Verify that BlackBerry Messenger v5.xx is installed. The original v4.xx does not support groups.

    If you need to upgrade, BlackBerry Messenger v5.xx is available through BlackBerry App World.

    she had BBM5 since she got the handset, & i just done a batt pull & now its working.
