    After doing software update direct from RIM on a Curce 8330 many apps now missing and error message says BBM not available for this phone when he tries to re-install it--but it was there before the software update!!!! It wasn't even an OS update--just core applications. Anybody got any ideas for my friend????

    Retired Mod
    Open Desktop Manager, connect the phone, click Application
    Loader, under Add/Remove click start and put a check in the
    box for BBM. Next your way through to complete the install.

    It does not automatically select that when you upgrade so
    you will always have to choose it yourself.

    He figured that part out just now. I guess it's a call to Verizon for the *228 thing......
