I wasn't looking for it to say Fido rather than Rogers. I knew it would say Rogers, heck it isn't the first time it has said Rogers on Fido phones either. My concern was it stating it's roaming for voice and data. It shouldn't matter what software the phone has got embedded in it, roaming and not roaming is simply when the phone realises you are or not in your SIM's carrier zone any more. Turns out, that's not the case, although I've had a Samsung from abroad used on Fido for 2 years, never did it mention roaming for voice nor data.

Now I just have to be careful not to stray into other networks' zones whilst using the phone. I was hoping the option of turning roaming off would be a welcomed convenient solution to roaming.
