Okay please someone put me out of my misery.

My Daughetr has a Vodafone passport plan 100 mins 500 texts no data with another 10 months to run.

Her Granma has just given her a BBerry Curve 8900 the big question is this

My Daughter only wants to be able to use BBM none of the other data facilities are important at all.

If I get the 5.00 Vodafone BIS bolt on can she use BBM, or does she need a data package as well.

If she does need a standalone data paln as well (5.00) this seems to be a very expensive cost just to use BBM.

Any help will be very much appreciated, i cant get much greyer or balder so this is starting to make my brain ache

I think your carrier can clarify this better, but from what I know once you have a basic BIS plan BBM is automatically an activated "feature" for BlackBerry smartphones..

Just to clarify a bit - BIS is a data plan. It stands for BlackBerry Internet Service. It's the BlackBerry data equivalent. Once a BB has BIS it's on a data plan.

If you get the BIS Bolt, she will be able to use BBM/Internet/E-mail.
    It's 250MB of data she'll be getting.
