    BBM>BB Menu Key>Add Contact>

    From here you can take a look at your barcode, save it as an image, or scan someone else's barcode.

    its part of the 5.0 BBM. I have been using it since it has been leaked and all my friends have it but I have yet to add anyone with the barcode. We tried it for fun but it's nice to have. Its under the edit my info or the top menu on BBM.

    in the new BBM5, click the blackberry button and go to my profile, scroll to the bottom and there's a button to show "my barcode" which shows a full screen barcode that another blackberry user can scan and automatically add the contact to their bbm list. If you go to add contact the new BBM5 now gives you the option to add contact by scanning a barcode.

    This feature has been out there since 5.0.0.8 leaked. It workd real well an dit an awesome feature. Typing pins in manually can be a pain sometimes.

    yup...just turn your camera on and point it at the barcode - you don't have to snap the pic - it's automatic!! just hold steady for a few seconds

    How do you upload a picture of your barcode correctly? I did the Save Barcode Image emailed it to myself, but couldn't open it or upload it to photobucket. How do you save it as a .jpg?

    You can also create your own through several gr barcode generators. Just look up gr barcode generator, and you'll get a bunch. Try this one. Its for my website.

    it wont scan your barcode, and ive done others with no problems
