Hey guys using a hybrid TRNCFRG 9650 v.1030 due to how it allows me to send group sms texts and is more stable than os 6.

Does the new bbm6.0 work on a 9650 with os5?

It doubtful they will give you a 2 phone jump, but worth a try. Whatever you decide I would make sure you have unlimited data. the q10 will use more data for sure. Good luck

On the phone trying to make it happen. Choices I proposed were Q10, Samsung 4, Note II. The main issue though is that I NEED to have group SMS functionality. Some people would call it "Mass Text" But it's not the same thing really when your friends know they are getting it.

Is anyone with a Q10 able to confirm the capability on the phone of performing this? I know there are apps on the Samsung 4 and a few others that do it. What about the Q10? The 9930 does not seem to have anything that does this.

On OS5 you could select as many contacts as you wanted in your text message and it would send it to all of them in groups of 10. On OS 7 there is a max limit to contacts per text message (10 max limit), so to send the text to your 240 contacts you would have to create 24 messages (with 10 contacts each).

Right and you wanted to keep it to groups of 200-300. If you went over 300 the phone would take over an hour to send vs 5-10 min.
