Are Proximity Alerts working for you? I have a Bold on AT&T and they are not working for me :-( Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix this issue?? Are proximity alerts working for you on a different device - 8900 or Storm?

Everything else seem to work fine, but no proximity alerts is bugging me!

Actually, you can set the device to recognize if a BBM friend is nearby via GPS. Set the distance and an alert goes off when they get within the set distance.

Similar in some ways to Google Latitude, only for BBs.

I did get it to work with between myself and a friend. Both running the beta BBM on Curve 8900s. It works well and you can set the distance and how long you get the alert. I did notice that my battery life suffered some when it was left on.

It does work but just like many other features, you friends needs to have 5.0 as well for the feature to work.
