running the following platforms:
Blackberry Messenger 5.0.0.33
App Version 4.7.1.40(77)
Platform 4.1.0.40
Service provider - Verizon Wireless

The problem is that profile pics/avatars in Blackberry Messenger are not showing up from users or myself.

I have tried a re-register from the host routing table and a battery pull.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

It's a known problem. It has something to do with the servers. Not sure exactly, but it's been a problem for a few days. It also affects restoring from a back up and backing up contacts, among a few other things.

never mind i just saw the homepage blog posting about the service outage
