can someone help me with this? since ive installed new bbm i cant update my status message whatever i do this is happening to me im running OS 4.6.303 on my bold but its also happening of friends with 8320�s and 8310�s. Any thoughts???

i have the same problem
and its definately not network issue cause i downgrade the bbm to older version just now and i can easily changed the status message
but when i upgrade again to bbm 5 no body can see my status,
this is realy frustating, especially since this release was official

btw im running javelin with .250
and i ust upgraded again using fx .310 , still same problem exist

I'm having the same issue on 4.6.1.298, but it seems my status eventually updates, but there is a 1-day lag (ie my status from today will show up tomorrow)

same problem , first im running OS 4.6.1.298, having this problem, then change back to OS 4.6.1.250 also have same problem, and now using OS 4.6.1.319 also having same problem. can anybody help? thanks

Ive had the same issue sense launch of new bbm... confirmed, no matter what OS version, etc etc. the only way to fix it is to get another pin, and re-add all your contacts manually. i am doing this next week with the new 9700.. and almost 200 bbm contacts... grrrr... RIM get on this!

What exactly happens when you try to change your status message? Do you get an error? Does it show in your own BBM but not your contacts?

So can anyone confirm that the status bug only affects people with more than 70 contacts? ive checked with two of my contacts that can update their status and actually they have less than 50 contacts!! although this is not final, someone please check this and reply!!
