    What would cause a contact's status to be busy or unreachable ??

    If you have sent them a message and they either haven't read it for at least a minute it will go into "busy" or if it is showing the little rings next to it they are usually on a phone call so they are unreachable.

    Many reasons they could be talking on the device or out of coverage.

    I believe it might be cause ther're on a call.

    The being on a call makes sense. I'd be having a conversation then boom there it goes busy lol

    Busy - on a call or (for BBM4.7 and below) didnt read your message after one minute being received. a little clock will appear next to their name.

    Unreachable - phone is off or just not connected to the network
