This is the first OS update 9700 users have seen in almost a year. I think it is safe to assume that my hybrids will work just fine over this news base OS, but we are going to need at least a little bit of time to test things out. I'm just hoping that one of my builds hits the sweet spot with 749 the way Aikido did for me with 723.

Where can one get this 746 for 9700? Would like to test it with Aorist. We might get better performance.

Well, .749 is news! Let's hope the next one would really be a homerun

I'm around, just waiting for some new goodies to build with. The new 9700 OS has been on my device (almost pure stock) for a little over a week or so now. I haven't tested any of my previous builds with it yet, though I think some in my testing group have tried a few variations.

    Dear Wu-wei,

I have an other kind of problem with any of the hybrid os (based on os6) and I will explain the situation below.

I have a BB 9700 and a car kit nokia ck-7w and i have problems to automatically connect the 9700 to the car kit via bluetooth. This automatically bluetooth connection is realized very good with os 5.x (including B5-very good hybrid for os 5) and only with 6.0.0.344 and 6.0.0.380. This bluetooth problem (automatic connection via bt) is well known on os 6.x, and as stated before I discovered that early os 6 builds 344 an 380 work .
The behavior of 6.0.0.4xx or above, is that the os will connect only one time to the cat kit immediatelly after the bluetooth was started on the BB and only in a period of ~20 second to ~5 minutes. If I would like to manually reconnect the BB and car kit I should turn off and on the bluetooth on the BB.
Regarding this issue I tried to instal the 6.0.0.4xx, respectively 6.0.0.5xx, 6.0.0.7xx os and to inject with BBSAK, the 380 bluetooth cod and all cods (cods that i found on 380 with BBSAK containing "bluetooth" and "BT" on cods name), but the behavior of the bluetooth connection remain the same - bad, respectively the os did not started after (it shows a list of "folders" and several errors, without homescreen).

Anyhow I am not very happy with os5 and the 6.0.0.380 is an os with several problems (battery, memory etc.), due to this fact i tried to instal a hybrid os over 6.0.0.380
In my "researches" i discovered that the BDHP_6.1 work with 6.0.0.380 but it giving a code module problem when accuweather is installed. BDHP_7, berrylicious and B@stard hybrids (like aorist, aikido, agile and even B@stard_20110921) over 6.0.0.380 is giving error (the os will not start after the clean installation).

In this moment, i try to inject cods from newer builds to the 6.0.0.380 os (i saw thaw worked for the moment with no problem with BIS_7 - 7.11.0619.1924, thanks wu-wei for jad)

Now that i discovered the power of the hybrids, I prefer to use Aorist hybrid or newer with the automatic bluetooth connection to ck-7w car kit.

Please give me several ideas or solutions to solve this issue.

    Thank you,
    Ionut

You might want to try BDHP 4.0, found here.

I know there have always been issues moving from different series of OS6, and using newer hybrids on older base OSes often doesn't work. If I get some time, I'll see what I can whip up for an older base. I think I have an older simulator for testing purposes.

I can also confirm that I have problems with bluetooth pairing to my PC. I have no problem transferring files to my BB from PC, but I can never get files to transfer from my BB to PC. I don't often use bluetooth, as my headset died a long time ago.

I already searched BDHP 4, but all the download links are dead.
