    Alright...my Akimbo report on a t mobile 9700.

Battery is the Boss on this hybrid...i have the entire dashboard of apps lit up and it drains much slower than previous builds.

I have javascript turned off on the browser...i been opening webpages many webpages...multiple tabs...and have yet to get a too big error using Akimbo and before that Akido. In fact, I have opened pages where is just loads and loads and is taking forever...and i just close it down after getting tired of waiting. The point is the browser would not force shut down on error...even when loading large blog pages...pages with many photos...etc. Its a big, big improvement.

My impression is that the memory leak is not as well contained as it was with Akido...however, the battery is so smooth that i have gotten lazy and not been shutting down all my apps when not using them. So my memory drain is likely linked to that.

Been reading about these power cods...have not injected them, but will hold them for the next hybrid release.

Everything is fast and smooth. minimal lags. Good user experience. Thanks for testing and sharing.

    Cheers!
Glad to hear you're having success with the hybrid, and the power cods are mainly if you have issues with battery shutting down at 20-30%. EX mine would shut down at 19, i added the power cods, and drained to 1%(with radio still intact and functioning)

My average battery discharge rate was about 2% when i used Aikido Hybrid.. but when i installed Akimbo, the discharge rate has been increased to 7%.

    Why is this?

    edit :

i have my base OS at 6.0.0.747
i tried degrading to 723.. but no use.. its still 747..

    is that the reason?

It's possible that the base is causing it. If you want to downgrade to .723 grab the 9800 file from the first page and paste that over the clean install

    Okay, i'll grab them now.

I've already installed Aikido and just found out that this hybrid is the latest one. Just want to know that which one is the best hybrid (less lag, battery last longer, less memory leaks) for bold 9700 .723 based. I've found that my EDGE sometimes switched to GSM or SOS for 10-15 secs, then come back to EDGE. What is the problem with this.

    Please advised.
    Thanks

I find that Akimbo is smoother, with slightly higher adr, but the battery lasts to 1% and there is less memory leak. I can't help with the GSM/EDGE problem as my carrier lacks GSM.

Attached screenshot of last 2 days. Currently at 5% battery, and still running w/ radio.

If I charge to 100% I'll be at around 60% when I go to sleep, depending on use

Ran Akimbo for a week now on my 9700, liked Aikido more. I'm getting shut down at 30% sometimes, and the memory leak isn't as good - I can only last for about 24 hours before I need to force reboot due to application memory running to 0. Gut feeling is that the browser is working better on Akimbo than Aikido though, I'm getting very infrequent force shutdowns. In either case it seems like 1 step forward 1.5 steps back on this one so I'm probably going to reinstall Aikido

Didn't know you had a 9300, just assumed from your "downgrading to .723" that you had a 9800(as only 9800 has official .747 release)

If you want to make it show as .723 in your meter app/etc, use this akimbo link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ids/Akimbo.zip "for 9800" over your .723 fresh install.

723 is the culprit. Older fsi like 666 for 9300 in my case gives extra mileage up to 3% before GSM radio shutdown regardless of hybrid OS installed. But, some similar device do not behave the same as in bmercer94 case where injecting 723 cods works perfectly!

Actually, installing with the .723 cods prevented shutdown, but did not prevent radio drop, when under berrylicio.us ultimate, but it allowed use to 1% under akimbo. Currently running stock .534(latest from carrier)

Why not just download the 7.0.0.747 for the 9800 and try it. Look in the 9800 forum , you should find the link. Also read the hybrid installation guide.

Basically, click the link for 6.0.0.747 Wu provides on the first page and download from there, then search for "vendor.xml" in the c: drive and delete any entries. Then follow Wu's hybrid install guide
