New to BB..I thought the solution may be via the eng screen, so I am posting the question here.
I received 9630 Tour from the USA. The phone is unlocked.. Unlocked from carrier and Service provider.. in fact ALL security is disabled as per Sim Personalization screen..
I can make one call only right after a reboot. or receive 1 only.
I have been told by a local shop here in Bangkok (Here we have several shops that Hack / unlock etal mobile phones..) that the problem with this phone model is that it is also CDMA, and there are some conflicts on the GSM service provider here (AIS) using this device even with it set in GSM mode.
Does anyone know of any 'Tweeks" I can use to configure this device to work properly here in Thailand?
Or even where / how to go about trying to find how to fix or who can fix this.
This model is not sold in Thailand..
I feel certain that an BB engineer would know how to resolve this. and that the resolution would be thru the engineering screen.. but it is a swag on my part
I also 'Guess' that as the phone is not popular here in Bangkok (and it is old model) no one here has played around with it much.
Service provider is no real help

For torch 9850/9860 Monza On the home screen press and hold the back button and tap the top left and top right corners of the screen back and forth until it comes up.
Is there an option to re-enable the auto volume control for the earpiece during a call, which autmatically adjusted the volume depending on the noise level surrounding you? This option is not available anymore in OS 7.1 for whatever reason and I really loved that feature as I am hearing impaired.
Is there any way to change the color that the LCD blinks when I get a notification through this menu? I don't want to pay for an app.
as of 7.1 you can. its in the menu where you set alerts.
not much to choose from, but i have different led lights for facebook, txts, bbms, and emails. all with no app.
