quite easy to do on the torch. pretty sick little helper. I did the thorough GC and only recovered 1.2mb of data lol but im pretty strict on always clearing crap out.
So anybody got more little how to's in this advanced help screen for doing cool things?
I have a Sprint 9630 Tour with a Sprint SIM card that I have failed to enter the correct MEP code after 10 times (no thanks to Sprint customer service giving me incorrect codes). Now in the Advance option sim card page it show network "blocked" and in the main screen upon power up is show my sim card is invalid (I posted it under the 9630 forum)
I was able to access the Engineering Screen (Thanks SCrid2000) and before I start tinkering around, does anyone know if I can reset the MEP counter back to 10 and input a correct MEP code to unlock my SIM card slot
Man I can't wait until I get a new phone. I want to play with my old Storm in this screen. I did manage to get to the Screen which to me is cool enough for now.
Can anyone tell me what forcing a battery discharge will actually do? (apart from the obvious: discharging the battery)
How long does it take? is the device usable during the discharge? do i recharge it right away? etc... some type of play by play would be much appreciated

Cheers,
I would guess that the battery discharge option is a left over from the old days when batteries could develop a memory that prevented full charging. I don't know what good it would do to fully discharge a lith-ion battery. In fact it would shorten the life of the battery if it was done too much. Like I said, just a guess.
Can someone tell me the difference between doing the garbage collection as opposed to a battery pull to regain leaked memory.
