I am looking at the loader files an I see the following .alx files:

    VCastMusic
    VerizonPTT
    VZNavigator

I thought the 9700 was not availiable thru Verizon? What radio files is used in this release? Don't ATT and Verizon use different radios?

    Very confusing.......Experts please advise........

Nothing to concern yourself with. If it is incompatible with your device it
simply will not load. You'll also noticed some T-Mobile specific files there too and
they will also not load unless T-Mobile is your carrier.

The radio files are in a folder called UMTS. It will have the extension .sfi
Yes, VZW and AT&T use different radios as one is a GSM carrier
(AT&T) and the other a CDMA carrier (VZW)

Is the Bold 9700 out for Verizon? I find it odd that it is NOT out yet that carrier has files in this release?

    No it's not.

Those are just generic files that are present in all OS builds for all devices.
If your device and carrier support them, then they're installed. If not, then they're ignored.

there's Vodafone and Telefonica files in the OS folders also, so nothing to be concerned... the basis of 5.0.0.X is probably the same for many devices... so they include a lot of redundant stuff to support more carriers with less files...
