Last week I installed .593, everything seems to be wonderful from .866.

I went home for the weekend, and turned my WiFi on, and both saturday and sunday I noticed my battery was drained by 10PM. Now before that I was running WiFi off and getting 2 days out of my battery. Usage was the the same.

Phone unplugged from charger at 6:30AM, 1 hour roughly of voice, 25 SMS and around 200bbms and 15 emails. Random websurfing and reading on Viigo. Profile is phone calls only so no vibrate or alert for sms or bbm notifications.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this, or is it me?

    Pilsbury, specifically in .593?

This is the first OS I've noticed fast drain with wifi on! With .545 I had WiFi on 24/7 with no issues and then with .866 the battery life was so poor I turned it off.

WiFi is a battery drain function in itself.
Now, .593 does not drain the battery faster than any other version. It is true that .586 was a battery drainer... in general...

I use my WiFi regularly and have not found that my battery goes away any faster with this version of OS.

One of the best apps is SmartWiFi Buddy IMHO. And cheaper than dirt right now.

I got mine from App World when it was 4.99, still worth it. It's a common story, bought it from "X" last month, but now it's cheaper at "Y".

After install a new OS .593, just dont forget to do the battery pull until 6-7 times...
    It will solve your problem...
just give a time to your device to "get some hug" with your new OS... ^^

I have a new issue... if I connect to my HOME WiFi, the battery dies within 2-4 hours. If I connect to my OFFICE WiFi, there's no unusual battery drain at all. I've checked the settings on my home WiFi, and all of my other devices don't have the battery problem. I have absolutely NO clue what could be causing that! Any tips?
