THIS WILL WORK FOR ALL 5.0 OPERATING SYSTEMS AND DEVICES THAT ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE BEDSIDE MODE NOT WORKING WHEN THE DEVICE IS PLUGGED INTO THE WALL.

So you have an issue with bedside mode not popping up on 5.0.0.983 when on the wall charger right? Don't Worry, your boys over at BB Tweaks have you covered! This issue popped up in 895 and I was able to hybrid it out.

    1. Download the fix HERE
    2. Extract the file to your PC using WinRAR or 7-Zip (Inside the .rar file is the .cod that you will need)
    3. Use BBSAK or BBMCP to push the files to your BB (BOTH ARE FREE) or you can copy and paste the extracted files to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9550AMEA_v5.0.0.983_P4.2.0.427\Java and run the app loader.

You may see a full tutorial showing how to do this with BBSAK HERE

It's the least I could do! Drove me nuts all last night when I realized this build had the same bug as 973 from the 9520 and everytime I rolled over to look at the clock it was dark! Working on seeing if I can fix the other issues.

    THANK YOU!
I love this build except for the beside mode problem. I was all set to reload a hybrid I was using when I saw this post. I'm going to install it right away and report back.

OK, I just loaded it via BBSAK and it works! Thanks so much for this.

Yes, I guess I should have stated that it would work for the 9520 5.0.0.973.

Remove first all the old OS from your pc and then install 983. You probably now have more than 1 OS installed in your windows and the system is <<confused>>

I simply used BBSAK to remove the net_rim_bb_clock_lib.cod file from the device, then loaded up the one in the fix. It's a lot easier than reloading the entire OS and just takes a few minutes. Everything is working great here.

You don't need to remove the old one. Just load the new cod over the old one, it will automatically replace it.

Thanks for the Bedside mode fix, works great.

If you are using any OS above 5.0.0.979 you can use this same fix.
