    Update:

Chinese Traditional & Simplified Characters and Font Support requires that all instances of "Niagara" in the CJK.alx file be changed to "Javelin". If Chinese Traditional & Simplified Characters and Font Support is neither desired, nor required, then no additional modifications need to be made.

The correction has been made in the following hybrid:

    8900 586/607 Hybrid (554 Based): Findings & Fixes

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was thinking that go_iLL was referring to the radio being used, which in this case is the "base OS" or .554.

As far as I know radio's are device specific and not interchangeable between devices.

GSM radio files are generally interchangeable between GSM devices, CDMA radio files between CDMA devices. The base OS in this case refers only to the device hooks required by Loader and the BlackBerry.alx file. This hybrid has no .554 files and is predominantly .586.

There are two folders within your loader folder. One contains the java files associated with all of the device applications and resources. This folder controls the "app version" of an OS. The second folder contains a single file which contains all of the core processes of the OS, including the actual radio stack. This file controls the "platform" of the OS and is commonly referred to as the "radio" because it contains the code associated with the device radio. It is not interchangeable between devices, nor carriers as it is specific to a single device.

I simply wanted to point out that I believed this was the "radio" the member was referring to.

Correct, willyboy6. I was referencing the BlackBerry.alx radio="GPRS-WLAN" (attribute="value") and not the SFI file . Music player issue fixed + .607 files to be added to next build (testing now).

    Update:

Browser copy & paste issues can be resolved in one of two ways: Drop down to the .586, or move up to the .607 net_rim_bb_browser_field* files. The following hybrid resolves both the media player and the copy & paste issues:
