Ok...so I've read this thread backwards/frontwards and upside down, but can't seem to find an answer to my problem.
Here's what I have:
Sprint
v.186 OS
8330m
Here's what happens:
Downloaded .rar, extracted to .java folder (also tried extracting to OS folder)
Opened apploader
When I get to the screen to choose either keep settings or "downgrade", I chose to downgrade. However the previous version shows up. Oh, and I don't have a folder (under shared) for .186; it's for .131.
Can anyone help me figure out what I'm missing or did wrong? Thx
Did that. Still nothing. When I run the loader, the only options I get are to either downgrade the OS, downgrade or remove BBM (currently running BBM 5.0.1.32)
Quick question. What exactly are you trying to do by upgrading? It will not give threaded in case that's what you wanted.
Moving on. Have you downloaded OS .186 first?
Yes I have downloaded OS .186. I've been running that for sometime now. My reason for wanting to upgrade is like most people here - to have the latest, "greatest" OS for this particular model (w/o having to buy a whole new phone), to be able to download certain apps that require a minimum OS of 5.0, sounds like some people are freeing up memory and it seems to run smoother (unless my issue is Sprint vs location), and because I'm somewhat geeky and like modding my phone.
No threaded SMS? I don't think that'll be an issue, but if I can load this hybrid, I'm sure a fix will come (if it's not already out).
can sum1 please help me! im not that berry savvy. i think i did everything rite but cant seem to find the .exe file. also which program do i use to load the new os?
scratch all that sum how i thnk i got it. not sure exactly how tho

Reason: problem resolved (i think:)
I've modified the hybrid for the 8310 and 8320, but the files should work with the 8330 as well. Just copy the files and paste them into the java folder of the hybrid you are using, and load the os.
Anyone willing to give it a go?
(just make sure to do a backup as per usual)
