Does anyone notice a memory leak using this hybrid? It seems like I'm loosing memory in my phone everyday and I'm getting a lot back after using quick pull. I've had this OS for about a week now. Things should have settled in by now.
Hey Im new with BB's so please keep that in mind one I ask this question. I downloaded and unRARd, phone is on .175 so update I believe... but I dont have the location that C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\83#0-v4.5.0.1##_P3.4.#.# folder points to. I can follow that path up to Research in Motion... no shared and no loader. Did I miss a step? Thanks
Pretty good.
I'm running it.
Look at being able to BIS email 1 time per minute of a highschool day while roaming, and listening to music 30 minutes.
And still have 6 or 7 out of 10 bars left.
I love it.

What is BBSAK? (Edit: I downloaded BBSAK v1.7) This is my first Hybrid OS..... I have backed up the 8330m on BBmanager, Downloaded all 3 .rar's and replaced the components of java file with the main OS rar. INstalled mising CODs with BBSAK. It shows that my radio is "OFF" (no signal)???
SUCCESS!!!!
Nevermind, you can call me Mr. Dumass.... lol figured it out, thanks for the Hybrid, much appreciated, let ya know how it goes
It wont look like 5.0 until there is a base leak for the 8330m from a 5.0 build. This is based on 4.5 with files from 4.6 and 5.0 to increase the speed and help with the memory leaks on the device.
It should say 8330-v4.5.0.175.
Make sure you have an 8330m

Thanks
you had to have downloaded the 4.5.0.175 from the Blackberry website or the sprint website,
im guessing yours is a sprint 8330m...
I didnt use bbsak and it worked flawlessly. with my apps and things running/installed, i have about 30 mb free according to app world.
things are running faster than .171.
appears that the download .rar file is corrupted. Downloaded it 3 times. Getting an "unexpected end of archive" error
Tried again last night and the link is working now. This is my first experience with a hybrid. I did a low level wipe and installed this on my US Cellular 8330m and WOW what a difference!!! I went from 20mb file free to 57mb file free with little to no memory leaks! Phone feels like a completely different experience and I'm not ashamed to say that I use a 8330 anymore haha. I'm very pleased with the results and awesome work man, thanks!
I wonder the same thing, but I will try it at work on a pure Windows XP SP3 machine instead. I don't know how to update my firmware from Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard, as of yet.

I just wanted to thank the author of this hybrid for his hard work and know-how. Like all the other 8330m users, I've been not-so-patiently waiting for a 5.0 leak for eons now. My girlfriend just got a newer BB (8530) with OS 5.0, and after seeing it in action, I was even more jealous.
My 8330m was getting so slow (constant hourglass, sometimes for several minutes at a time) that I was near pulling my hair out, and this hybrid saved me. It's much zippier and seems to be a lot more stable than the latest official Sprint BBOS release.
I still want the 5.0 leak (natively nested SMS messages!), but this makes the wait a lot more tolerable. Thanks again.
Great hybrid! Thanks so much for your hard work! 8330m is much faster and more responsive. Less memory leaks and less time to boot from a battery pull!
