Here's the latest updated version, memory is much better!
    Enjoy!

    Download from here:
    BBB78 83x0 mix + 246.zip

    To install:

    - Backup your device data and 3rd party apps (including BBM contacts)
    - Download and install the latest OS for your device (should be 4.5.0.18x), and delete the vendor.xml file in the apploader folder.
    - Download the hybrid zip folder from mediafire and copy all files and paste these into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\83x0-v4.5.......\Java , and let it overwrite all files
    - for best results wipe you device with BBSAK before loading
    - Run Loader.exe (found in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader) or use BBSAK
    - In the Loader make sure to check the apps you want to include

The hybrid is made out of the following modules:
    4.5.0.18x
    4.6.1.314
    5.0.0.938
    5.0.0.977
    6.0.0.246

The main noticible improvement is the memory management, I gained about 4mb of xtra memory, and there seems to be no memory leak apart from your normal memory usage (they recommend to keep 5mb of free space for your bb to run well). I was able to add another app to my assortiment (I'm running my app memory to full capacity)

I have to say it seems to be running snappier than your last build, at least for me. Noticed the increased memory right off the bat. Memory leaks greatly reduced. This build seems to really get along with my 8310 very well. Running Google Maps, CrunchSMS, Lookout Mobile Security, Blackberry App World, Quickpull Free, Weatherbug and still have 19mb free! All working well, no freezes yet. Props and much thanks for a great hybrid.

Can you tell if this loaded the right files by looking in the modules for the versions?
I just loaded the hybrid and it seems like everything is working great. I looked at the module versions and alot of them are 5.0 and some 6.0 is this right?

yep, you should see a mixture of the following files:

    4.5.0.18x
    4.6.1.314
    5.0.0.938
    5.0.0.977

This is my first hybrid and after 24hrs its working great! It seems to load apps and browse a lot faster. I shrunk the os and saved 16mb. I have like 12 apps installed and still have 27.4mb after reboot and average about 16-20mb at the end of the day. Keep up the great work for the poor left out 8330m.

Thanks for the good work. It works perfectly well on the 8300, so you should add it to the list.

I use the spanish language on the OS, what aditional lang files should I replace from the 5.xxx OS? Also, is there anyway to get the precision theme from the 8520's 4.6 OS? I know there are 8300 replacements, but I wan't the original.

I have 4.5.0.182 in my downloads folder. I downloaded it, double clicked it and went through the before I made any attempts at loading the hybrid. Is this the wrong os version or is possibly the wrong file even? It is like 93 MB. Or does that file belong in another folder?

I would suggest for you to download 4.5.0.187 or 4.5.0.188 from here:

I think I may have had conflicting files or something if that makes sense from where I had my storm installed on this computer also. So, I uninstalled everything blackberry related and reinstalled the OS. I am going through the process of reloading this new os on my phone so that I can get it working again. If it boots up, which its trying to now, I will try your links and redo again. I would like to try out your os.
