A lot of people have been asking about this, so I will get straight to the point... Now that the Curve has 5.0 software, it seems like we are one step closer to building a hybrid for the pearl. They both are severely limited as far as memory is concerned (64mb and 96mb respectively). However, we have seen the 5.0 os's do not leak the way 4.5s and 4.7s did. Apply shrink-a-os on top of that fact, and I think pearls could have a very stable, very upgraded os. Anyone out there know more about this? Any input would be appreciated
we can't even get to 4.6
afaik i never heard of 5.0/4.x hybrid, i don't think they are compatible at all but i might be wrong about that. i am 99.9% certain we won't see a 5.0 for 81xx though
Who knows... As soon as I get my hands on a pearl I'm gonna mess around with it. Seems like it would be a fun project, so who knows, maybe the lack of response means it really can not be done Realistically why would anyone want it though, i guess.
