The 5.0/122 browser is almost as fast as my desktop. Its insane. Just that alone make it worth the install.

most of these are personal preference. I tried the 5.0 hybrid for a day and it wasnt very smooth. Apps were slow opening and would freeze. I was dropping out of 1XEV alot. Went to 3.5.1 and it has been good so far. No reboots yet, even though this is supposed to be the less stable one.

I tried both and I like Bb crackman better. More stable for me but everyones phone will react differently. Its a case by case thing.

hmm seems like answers going both ways.

i'm wondering just like the op, which is the better direction to take. Been a huge fan of crackman's stuff...but lyrcidial seems to have done a great job on the 5.0 hybrid from what i am reading...oh decisions

The browser on v3.5 and 5.0/122 are both definitely faster than .113 (compared side-by side on two different storms). I installed 5.0/122 on my phone and v3.5 on my father's and compared side-by-side - the 5.0/122 browser was indeed a bit faster. At the time, the 5.0/122 included the .122 camera, which I noticed was much worse than the .109 camera that was in v3.5 (or that I had added manually, I can't remember). Again, this is with direct side-by-side testing.
I am pretty sure that the new version of 5.0/122 includes the .109 camera - confirm that you have that and I would say that it is indeed a bit better/faster than v3.5, at least when using the browser. Everything else seemed pretty equivalent to me.

I tried both and prefer the 5.0 hybrid. I think though, too much emphasis is being placed on the Java used as opposed to the CDMA, which has a big effect on the phone. The main difference you are going to notice with the 5.0 is the browser speed, which alone is worthy of the download. But compare your radios and see if that doesnt make a big difference.
The 109 is solid in battery and decent on memory. I have found the 113 to be great on memory, ok on battery. The 122 is what I am using now, which for some reason sucks for first two days, then levels off to give consistent memory and battery usage

I tried both and prefer Crackman v3.51. The browsers on both are wicked fast. Night and day compared to previous OS's. I could not open any attachments with 5.0/.122. Maybe ver5.0 attachment.cod is not compatible with Storm mail. Not sure. I wiped my device again. (Always do) then put on Crackman v3.51 and all work great.
My camera is also working better. (Did not try it on 5.0/.122)

I had a problem with 5.0 and the today screen, but saving a small change on each appointment fixed that. 3.5 worked well but 5.0 may have less memory leak. I'm not too sure, but I'm too lazy to switch back to test. I think they are both great.
