I loaded up .419/.436 yesterday. I had read about people saying it was killing their battery life, but by the time I had finished installing it, I figured I'd give it a day and see how it did.

Battery life has been terrific! I'm not sure why my experience is so different than others, but it has been.

I sit in an area of my office with poor reception and it usually tends to drain the battery a fair amount. On any given day, from exchanging a few texts, and my phone constantly getting BES emails, the battery is usually down at least to 80%, on the best day.

Today, I did just that. I also made a 1 minute phone call. My battery is at 95% after unplugging it from the charger 10.5 hours ago.

Anyone else have any good advice as to what hybrid to try out? I have read through hundreds of posts over at bbhybrids.com, but there are so many different opinions and advice as to which one is the best that i am still just lost as to which one is the most reliable, if any (straight .419 had been running pretty good).

if .419 is running well on your berry i would wait a few days/weeks until there is a consensus on which hybrid is best and then decide what version to use. that's what i'm doing.

The consensus I seemed to be getting was that .419/.412 was great for battery life. That will be what I load up with if .419/.436 doesn't end up working anymore.

Today, my battery is still at 100% (12pm EST).

I removed it from the charging cradle at 6am EST.

Only calls to voicemail. 20 emails received. Weather app set to 30 minute updates.

No browsing yet. GPS and Bluetooth both off.

Regardless of all of that, this is back to (if not better than) my experience with 4.7.1.53. As Willyboy6 knows, my experience with 5.0.0.230 was awful.

I running the non-hybrid 419 and my battery life has been outstanding, I took it of the AC charger yesterday morning before going to work and it's 60%. Not much usage however it's activated on BES and read/send messages from it about 3-4 time and hour.

This is big improvement but what I believe makes the difference is the radio, I receiving a much better solid signal than before upgrading from a hybrid 230; I believe it's the radio and quality of the radio software that is effecting battery life
