We recently bailed on BES and set up BPS to handle exchange synching. Using BPS 4.1.4.14 and a Bold running OS 4.6.0.266 w/ Docs to Go V 1.007.036, everything is sweet except that we've got a couple e-mail attachment issues:
1. We've lost the ability to save e-mail attachments on messages sent to the Bold.
2. Attachment download is limited at 2.9 MB.

One OS change from the BES to BPS configuration is that we did not load BlackBerry MDS Runtime 4.6.0.18, BlackBerry MDS Default Launcher 4.6.0.18 or BlackBerry S/MIME Support Platform 4.6.0 on the Bold. Does anyone have an idea what to modify, install to restore these issues?

Finally took the plunge and upgraded. Only had it for a few hours but after all my 3rd party apps, I'm sitting at 37mb.

Every few minutes I get a warning that youmail is trying to connect to a secure connection and the certificate is not trusted. I have to continue and then it works. It does this every 10 or 15 minutes. I've tried changing permissions and some other settings and nothing works.

Anyone know how to fix this?

The East Asian version is working very nicely. I was having some problems with the Vodafone version (which seemed a little wierd). I am happy with this version. I would like to see a new leak already as I hear that what ever version beta testers are on now (.272 I think or maybe later) is better.

Any recommended download links? I went back to .247 but I'm getting anxious and want to give .266 another shot.

Try changing the security settings on your Bold from Proxy to Handheld:

Options > Security Options > TLS

Then change the Server Authentication and/or the Client Authentication settings.

Im a newbie here. I'm on my 2nd bb had the pearl 1st. Now I'm BOLDNLUVINIT(since feb) !! Took the plunge and upgraded to .266. My bold was starting to get slow on me. I'm a new mac user also so had to break out the old snail of a pc I have. Thanks to all for your help!! I never would have had the guts to try this. I read the posts and gave it a shot. It wasn't bad at all. All my apps and data transfered over. Will try for a while b 4 I go to the 5 version

I've deleted a lot of apps, and don't know what to do. Any ideas?

Reload your OS. Memory leaks are much more likely caused by 3rd party apps than by the OS. But if you have ran into the issue, generally the only way to resolve is to do a clean install (as well as not having tons of unnecessary apps on your device).

Memory will never sit at a static level. As long as its reasonable and never gets too low (like below 10MB) I wouldn't sweat it too much.

I usually sit between 35MB and 50MB depending on what I'm doing and how long its been since I rebooted.

I'm fully aware of that. I've done about 6 battery pulls today. It drops from 28MB to 7MB within an hour.

Whenever I load a new OS it runs great for about 2 days. Then it gradually gets worse and worse until i reload the OS. Then it repeats. I've been having this problem for the last month or so.

You absolutely have a 3rd party app that is ruining the party. Try running with no external apps for a few days and see if you end up with the same result. My guess is you will not.

Just going to have to narrow it down after that.

28MB after a fresh boot tells me one that you have way too many apps on your device.
