So I forgot my password and locked myself out of the phone. As a result I took it to my local Verizon store. They basically did a hard reset and when it was done I had an official 5.0.0.238 OS

When a hard reset is done, the OS does not revert back to 4.7 manually...4.7 must be re-installed by downgrading. The hard reset simply wipes your third party apps, messages, logs, etc etc...the tech probably didn't realize you were running a hybrid, or didn't care/was new. Who knows.
