use JL_CMNDR to erase 0.76 and then load the new OS onto the phone?

leave 0.76 on the phone and install the .132hybrid ontop of it?

Pull off 0.76 with the Desktop Manager and then load on the new system..?

any of you veterans have opinions on how to proceed? I read somewhere just recently that if coming from such an old system (0.76) you are supposed to leave it on the phone and allow the AppLoader for the new OS (.132) write over files and just do it's own thing... thoughts?

i'm headed to bed and will catch up with this thread in the morning. thanks a lot guys.

I usually only wipe when I'm downgrading. As far as upgrading, a wipe isn't really necessary. Anyone agree?

Your phone will wipe before the OS is installed via DM anyways. Why wipe it just to wipe it again?

    DO NOT WIPE!!

    Uninstall .76
    Install .132
    Delete Vendor.xml file
    Backup using DM
    Update using loader.exe found here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    Enjoy New Phone
