If I leave facebook on for notifications and download like 20 to 35 youtube videos a month do I risk going over the two gig alotted for my data plan? So confused on how it all works

You should not have a problem. If you do go over they just add more allowed data to your bill in bands of $10 so that you will never be billed per packet.

I was unsure about leaving the facebook app on......I also tend to be on wifi a lot of the tine I read that pandora uses lots of data too but if I'm on wifi it should not affect my data plan right

if you do the same things with an iphone 4 i will say YES you will go over..
but with a blackberry.. the downloads are less..
my experience is this.. around 1.2GB on the iphone 3GS but only 0.55GB on the blackberry.. doing mostly the same stuff every month

But the Torch is different. Either way you will still be ok. Use the free "check my data" service to keep tabs on usage...

No home wifi does not count.
